Loneliness kills people. Do you know that? It creeps in to people’s soul, murders them slow and painful. It induces hallucinations – that you are ugly, you are stupid, you are unloved, you are unfriendly, you are stink, you are … all scary things in your mind. Also, once loneliness abates, amnesia sets in. So, understand their rudeness, their nasty-ness, their ignorance, their unfriendliness. Forgive them. Perhaps they look strange, they look weird, they look scary, they sound mean and rude. Perhaps we only need to understand that they are just lonely.Forgive them. Perhaps it is good not to isolate people and not to push them away (if they act strangely, weirdly, cruelty, nastily). Perhaps, they are just lonely. Perhaps it is good to help them: text them, say hello to them, invite them for dinner or coffee. Helping is always good anyway.
Do you know this quote: “The most terrible poverty is loneliness, and the feeling of being unloved” (Mother Theresa)? I say this to you, that is soo true.
